Reasons Behind The Stock Market Crash And Review
The stock market crashed today due to the pressure of the news that US President Donald Trump has already announced an order to impose an additional 25 percent tax on Indian imports from 12 noon on August 27.
US President Donald Trump has increased tariffs on Indian exports from 25% to 50%, which includes a new tax of 25% in response to India's purchase of Russian crude oil.
Donald Trump initially announced a 25% baseline tax on India's purchase of crude oil from Russia and then added another 25 percent tax to it. The Indian government condemned his intransigence in adding this new tax as inappropriate.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi's message said that India is ready to bear the consequences of the US punitive taxes that will start tomorrow.
At today's close, the Sensex fell 849.37 points or 1.04% to close at 80,786.54, and the Nifty fell 255.70 or 1.02% and closed at 24,712.05.
The main reasons for today's fall in the stock market are :
1. 25% additional tax imposed by the US :
The US has announced a draft to impose an additional 25% tax on Indian imports from August 27. According to it, the 50% tariff, which will be implemented from August 27, is likely to make almost all of India's $ 86.5 billion exports to the US commercially unviable. This increased market concerns today and the Nifty fell.
2. FII sale :
According to foreign exchange data, FII investors sold equities worth Rs 2466.24 crore on Monday, which affected the market.
3. Rupee depreciation :
The Indian rupee fell by 22 paise to 87.78 against the US dollar in early trade on Tuesday. The additional 25% tax imposed by the US on India affected the domestic currency, which increased demand for dollars from importers and led to a depreciation in the rupee.
4. Weak global cues :
Almost all major Asian markets were also in the red today. Japan's Nikkei fell by 225.1, while South Korea's Kospi, Hong Kong's Hang Seng and Shanghai's SSE Composite were all in the red. Last night, the US market also closed in the red, which increased the pressure on the Indian market and weakened the market.
5. Rise in India VIX :
Today, the India VIX, which measures market volatility, rose by 5% to 12.38. This rise in VIX indicates that there is more risk in the market and this is also one of the reasons for the market crash.

अमेरिकेचे राष्ट्राध्यक्ष डोनाल्ड ट्रम्प यांनी आधीच जाहीर केलेल्या आदेशामुळे दिनांक 27 ऑगस्ट दुपारी 12 पासून भारतीय आयातीवर 25 टक्के अतिरिक्त कर लागू करण्यास सुरुवात होत आहे ह्या बातमीच्या दबावामुळे आजचा शेअर बाजार कोसळला.
अमेरिकेचे राष्ट्राध्यक्ष डोनाल्ड ट्रम्प यांनी भारतीय निर्यातीवरील टेरिफ 25% वाढवून 50% केला आहे, ज्यामध्ये रशियाच्या कच्च्या तेलाच्या भारताच्या खरेदीला प्रतिसाद म्हणून 25% नवीन कर समाविष्ट केला आहे.
डोनाल्ड ट्रम्प यांनी सुरुवातीला भारत रशियाकडून कच्चे तेल विकत घेतो म्हणून 25% बेसलाईन कर जाहीर केला आणि नंतर त्याला अजून पंचवीस टक्के कर जोडला त्याच्या ह्या नवीन कर जोडण्याच्या आडमुठेपणाला भारत सरकारने अयोग्य म्हणून त्याचा निषेध केला.
पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी दिलेल्या संदेशात असे म्हटले आहे की भारत उद्यापासून सुरू होणाऱ्या अमेरिकेच्या दंडात्मक करांच्या परिणामाना सहन करण्यास तयार आहे.
शेअर मार्केट मधील आजच्या पडझडीला प्रमुख कारणे आहेत ती म्हणजे
1. अमेरिकेने लावलेला 25% अतिरिक्त कर :
अमेरिकेने 27 ऑगस्ट पासून भारतीय आयातीवर वर अतिरिक्त 25% कर लागू करण्याचा मसुदा जाहीर केला आहे त्यानुसार तरी 27 ऑगस्ट पासून लागू होणाऱ्या 50% टेरिफ मुळे भारताची अमेरिकेला होणारी जवळजवळ सर्व 86.5 अब्ज डॉलरची निर्यात व्यावसायिक दृष्ट्या अव्यवहार्य होण्याची भीती आहे. यामुळे आज बाजाराची चिंता वाढली आणि निफ्टी कोसळला.
2. एफआयआय मध्ये विक्री :
फॉरेन एक्सचेंज डेटा नुसार सोमवारी एफ आय आय मध्ये गुंतवणूकदारांनी 2466.24 कोटी रुपये किमतीच्या इक्विटीज ची विक्री केली ज्यामुळे मार्केटवर परिणाम झाला.
3. रुपयाची घसरण :
मंगळवारी सुरुवातीच्या व्यापारात अमेरिकन डॉलरच्या तुलनेत भारतीय रुपया 22 पैशांनी घसरून 87.78 वर आला. अमेरिकेने भारतावर लादलेल्या अतिरिक्त 25% कराचा देशांतर्गत चलनावर परिणाम झाला ज्यामुळे आयातदारांकडून डॉलरची मागणी वाढली आणि रुपयांमध्ये घसरन झाली.
4. कमकुवत जागतिक संकेत :
आज जवळपास सर्व महत्त्वाचे आशियायी बाजार सुद्धा लाल रंगात होते. जपानचा निक्की 225.1 ने पडला तर दक्षिण कोरियाचा कोस्पी, होंगकोंग चा हँग सिंग आणि शांघांय चा एसएसई कंपोझिट हे सर्व बाजार लाल रंगात होते. काल रात्री अमेरिकेचे बाजार सुद्धा लाल रंगात बंद झाले त्यामुळे भारतीय बाजारावर दबाव वाढला आणि मार्केट कमकुवत झाले.
5. इंडिया विक्स मध्ये वाढ :
आज बाजारातील अस्थिरतेचे मापन करणारा इंडिया विक्स 5% नी अधिक वाढून 12.38 वर पोहोचला. हा वाढलेला विक्स बाजारामध्ये जास्त जोखीम आहे हे दर्शवतो आणि हे पण बाजार कोसळण्याचे एक कारण आहे.
